Arizona blanket Crochet Along has started last Friday! The first part is a panel of 8 solid granny squares joined by a row of double crochet (I’m using the US crochet terms) and popcorn stitches.

It was so much fun to crochet again, I think it was high time to try it again. And I’m very happy with the chosen colour scheme, even though I’d thought about other options, in the end I decided to follow the basic traditional colourway proposed by the CAL’s designer. These colours work together perfectly, the white-gray-black granny squares really make the red border pop.

To be honest, I think that next Friday is too far away, I’d love to start working on the next part already ๐

It’s also great to watch other people’s project and see how they look in different colours. So while it took me a lot of time to decide to join my first CAL, I’m really glad I did it! I’m so grateful to Emma May (Pippin Poppycock) for this beautiful design and for hosting the CAL.

I love the contrast! It’s so striking!

I pasted a link in this post but when I click on it now, it tells me that the website with pattern is now set to private and to see it, you need to request an invitation from the designer.
